About ABL Cyber Training
Training Process and Program Details
ABL Employee Advisors work with each employee to determine the appropriate course(s) based on career interests, professional goals and assessment results.
ABL offers blended learning – Online course ware, hard copy books, 1-1 mentoring, group mentoring, sharing best practices and key learnings with colleagues from City of Tempe and other ABL Cyber Academy employees, all within the structured course schedule
Study Requirements: Employees are expected to attend the Online Lab community (Discord) to study and have access to their dedicated Mentors and other students. Additional Mentors are available for texting or calls 6 days a week 12 hours a day M-F 8am-8pm and Saturdays 9am-4pm.
Your Commitment Employee will schedule a weekly call with their dedicated Mentor to review progress and provide assistance as needed.
Courseware and Printed books are shipped directly to the employee. The courseware is online and available 24/7 as is the ABL Cyber Practice Range which is a major advantage for all employees.
Duration – For all courses other than PMP and CAPM, Employee sets own schedule for studies and preferred time with Mentor, as long as minimum hours are attained. The purpose of this requirement is to ensure prior knowledge acquired is not lost and the need to do module refreshers is minimized.

The Cyber Range is an ethical hands-on, private virtual community designed to provide participants the hands-on experience of offensive tactics and increase the ability to determine and prepare effective strategies to mitigate and remediate the exploitation of vulnerabilities.
The Range Provides user knowledge, skills and abilities, adding measurable value in the workplace to better identify poorly designed code, high risk behaviors, vulnerable system configuration and threat awareness.
The Range is Hosted on ABL’s internal server network. All Range attack activities are performed against non-public facing virtual servers, a safe environment to build skills and confidence using cyber tools.
